Why do peptide therapy prices vary between clinics?
Medication and formulation
Prices vary by medication, formulation, pharmacy and amount supplied. An FDA-approved manufactured product and a compounded preparation are not automatically the same product, and their prices and approval status differ.
Monthly prices versus vial prices
Ask how much medication is included and how long the supply is expected to last under your individual prescription. PT-141 is priced per vial at NovaGenix, so its cost should not be assumed to represent one month of treatment.
Consultations, labs and other costs
Some clinics bill separately for visits, supplies or shipping. Others require memberships. NovaGenix includes follow-up appointments, injection supplies and shipping; labs are separate.
How much does sermorelin cost?
Sermorelin is $299 per month at NovaGenix. Patients often ask about it when researching sleep, recovery and body composition. Discuss the evidence, possible risks and alternatives with your clinician. Read our sermorelin versus ipamorelin comparison.
How much does tesamorelin cost?
Tesamorelin is $399 per month. Ask which product or formulation is being quoted. FDA-approved EGRIFTA WR is indicated to reduce excess abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy; it is not indicated for general weight-loss management. A compounded preparation does not have the same FDA approval. Read the FDA prescribing information and our tesamorelin guide.
How much does ipamorelin/CJC-1295 cost?
Ipamorelin/CJC-1295 is listed at $299 per month. Discuss the limited evidence, potential risks and current availability with your clinician and pharmacy. See our ipamorelin guide.
How much do BPC-157 and the Wolverine stack cost?
BPC-157 is listed at $249 per month, and the Wolverine stack, BPC-157 plus TB-500, at $299 per month. BPC-157 is not FDA-approved for human use and human evidence is limited. The name Wolverine stack does not mean proven healing or recovery. Talk with your clinician about the evidence, risks and current pharmacy availability. Read our BPC-157 guide and Wolverine stack guide.
How much does PT-141 cost?
PT-141 is $249 per vial. The supply duration depends on the individual prescription. FDA-approved Vyleesi, a bremelanotide product, has a specific indication for certain premenopausal women with acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder; that approval does not automatically extend to compounded products or every use. Learn more on our PT-141 page and in the FDA label.
How much does NAD+ cost?
NAD+ is $199 per month. Though often discussed with peptide therapy, NAD+ is not a peptide. Discuss your goals and the available evidence with your clinician.
Does insurance cover peptide therapy?
Coverage depends on the specific medication, diagnosis, product and health plan. Some FDA-approved peptide medications may be covered for particular indications when plan requirements are met. Coverage for compounded preparations or other uses may differ.
NovaGenix is a cash-pay practice and does not take insurance. Ask your insurer, pharmacy or laboratory about possible coverage for a specific medication or lab test.
How to compare peptide therapy prices in Florida
- Is the price per month, vial, dose or multiweek supply?
- How long is the supply expected to last for your prescription?
- Are consultation and follow-up visits included?
- Are lab tests separate, and is their review included?
- Are injection supplies and shipping included?
- Are there membership, sign-up or cancellation fees?
- What specific product is being offered, what is its approval status, and is it available?
Why are research-grade peptides sold online so much cheaper?
Some websites sell peptides labeled “research use only” or “not for human consumption.” A product sold for laboratory research should not be assumed suitable for injection or other personal use, even when a website or online forum discusses how people use it.
The FDA has warned sellers about products marketed with research-use disclaimers while also promoted for human use. Products outside appropriate safeguards may be contaminated, contain an unexpected amount of an ingredient or contain a different ingredient altogether. Read the FDA warning.
What are the risks?
- Uncertain identity, strength or contamination; injectable products bypass some of the body's natural defenses.
- Unverified quality claims: “pure” or “lab tested” does not by itself establish sterility or suitability for human use.
- No individual medical evaluation or monitoring for health conditions and drug interactions.
- Online dosing advice may not be appropriate; human safety and dosing information for some peptides is limited.
What about a certificate of analysis?
A certificate of analysis may describe a tested sample, but it does not by itself prove the vial you receive is sterile, appropriate for human use or FDA-approved. Ask your clinician which pharmacy would dispense the product, what is known about the formulation and whether an FDA-approved option is available. A prescription and licensed pharmacy do not make a compounded drug FDA-approved or eliminate its risks.
Can I have a peptide consultation online in Florida?
NovaGenix offers consultations at our Jupiter office and may provide telemedicine visits for eligible Florida patients. Whether an exam or follow-up can occur remotely depends on the patient, services involved and applicable requirements. Call to discuss your situation.
